The Westford Research Journal (WRJ) is an open-access, online academic journal committed to advancing knowledge through rigorous, impactful research. 2024 Submission Guidelines for Westford Research Journal

Abstract:
Submit a 250 to 300 word research abstract that succinctly outlines the purpose of the research, the main findings, and key conclusions. Avoid using undefined abbreviations or references not cited within the text.

The abstract should contain the following sections:

1. Introduction of the research topic.
2. Objectives;
3. Methods, including any limitations;
4. Results;
5. Conclusion;
6. Recommendations for further research; and
7. Implications for policy development.

Additionally, include 4-5 keywords, structured as follows: (a) discipline of the study; (b) key concepts investigated; (c) methods and processes used; and (d) geographical focus (country/continent).

Once your abstract has been accepted, the Westford Research Journal (WRJ) CORE Committee will send you a formal confirmation of acceptance. Please find below the format guidelines for submitting your full research paper by the specified deadline provided by the WRJ CORE Team:

• Submit the manuscript in Word format.
• Use double spacing with wide margins.
• Use 12-point Calibri font.

Structure
1.  Title Page:

Include the article’s title, the names and affiliations of the authors, the corresponding author’s email, and any acknowledgments or funding information.

2.  Abstract:

Limited to 250-300 words, in a single paragraph, summarizing the introduction, main objectives, methods, key results, conclusions, recommendations with broader applicability, and implications for policy development.

3.  The Research Article:

The paper should be 5,500 to 8000 words long, including the bibliography and appendices.

4.  Keywords:

Provide 4-5 keywords, categorized into four sections: discipline of the study, key concepts/variables, methods and processes, and geographical context (country, continent).

5.  Introduction:

Offer a comprehensive background of the research, highlighting the problem statement and the study’s objectives.

6.  Methods:

Provide a detailed description of the research procedures, ensuring there is sufficient information for replication.

7. Results:

Clearly present the research findings.

8.  Discussion:

Interpret the results, emphasizing their significance and relevance to existing literature.

9.  Conclusion:

Summarize the key findings and implications of the research. This section should directly answer the study’s objectives and offer judgments on the results, rather than repeating the discussions.

10. Acknowledgments:

If applicable, include a separate section before the references to acknowledge contributions or funding.

11.  References:

Use the author-year citation system for in-text references and list the references alphabetically at the end of the manuscript. Harvard referencing style to be used.

12. Originality:

No plagiarism / Turnitin report that needs to be submitted.

13.  AI Platform Usage Rule:

AI Index should not be more than 10%. Take note that any application of AI needs to be mentioned explicitly.

14.  Copyright:

Once the manuscript is accepted after necessary double reviews, the copyright will be with Westford University College.

• Define all abbreviations at their first mention in the text.
• Number all figures and tables sequentially, and ensure they include clear captions for easy reference.
